Blinker confusion

Go with an electronic flasher relay. Your new bulbs aren't pulling enough current to trigger the stock thermal relay.

Hmmmm, if wired in correctly as you seem to have done, the LED idiot lights should not reduce the draw enough to keep the blinker relay from switching. My bike would blink correctly even with one turn signal bulb removed which has a much higher power draw than an idiot light.

I will contemplate your wiring diagram and see if I can come up with a cause.

I was talking about his aftermarket turn signals. I had a similar problem on my XJ750 when I switched to minis; they were a lot lower wattage than the stock signals and so you get the same effect as when you swap to LEDs, even though they're still incandescent.

Stock single element bulbs are about 23-26 watt....Those little blinker bulbs are about 6-9 watt....Not as bright either....

I was thinking along the lines of the lower wattage bulbs, but I'm new to this electronics game. As for the electronic flasher relay...not familiar with that. I will need to play on google. Any suggestions on a supplier? Thanks a bunch guys.

Son, is this all I need here? Has a built in resistor too
