l wanna build my 71 CB750 into a Air Force tribute bike..So wanna to start with the head lite...l wanna use a 'Blue' type rectangle head lite...any suggestions on which to use...LED's ? halogene? not sure where to start and where even to look for such and head lite...Also the running , blinkers front and back will be LED's...
l'll draw up some rough schatches this weekend...
The bike will e 'based on WWll' planes as l'm working in a historical aircraft hanger where they build Race Planes that have over 4000 HP....
So wanna take advantage of the knowledge and the complete machine shop they have there...the cool part is that many of the employees are bikers, riders ..l'm so looking forward to this summer....Jimmiejoe

The "blue" look you are going for is referred to as the "color temperature" of a bulb. For blue looking bulbs, you want a color temperature of about 5000-6000K. That mostly means that you need to get a high price car style bulb, or a full fledged HID system. Standard Sodium and Halogen based bulbs can't really get into the blue range while being efficient.

Interestingly, the more blue the light looks, the worse it is actually performing. The highest efficiency (watts per lumen) is achieved at 4300K. Most Halogen bulbs achieve 3500K or so, and most HID's end up higher than 4300K due to their makeup. Anything higher than 6000K is pretty much just wasteful.

The key here is, if you really want something in the blue range, and choose to go with HID lighting, ensure that you actually are using a projector housing, not a housing intended for halogen bulbs. If you ignore that, you will end up blinding everyone on the road due to improper reflector setup.
