braided stainless brake lines????

Been Around the Block
I'm thinking the 30 year old brake lines (Flex hose) on my '79 650 could be replaced. I'd consider NOS rubber or braided stainless.
Does anyone sell a pre made SS kit for the KZ? Buying the bit and having them swaged seams like a hassle.

I checked Galfer & Goodridge - niether list a kit for the KZ650. Goodridge has parts that appear to screw together (no swaging) which I could use but I'd prefer a ready made kit.

Thanks in advance

www.Z1enterprises.com Stainless brake lines in various lengths, complete with pressure nuts on the ends, purchase also the stainless banjo fittings you need from them, and there ya go. You can make them yourself too, but the cost savings vs time spent doing it, is like 10 bucks. My time is worth more than that, especially with all the other things i have to do on *my* bike. Z1 carries bunches of vintage parts for Kawi, Zook, Yammie and Honda, but they have more Kawi parts than anything else.

It's actually real easy to look at how your OEM system hooks together, take a few measurements and just buy the pieces. I'd go with Goodridge or Russell parts. I did it on my xs650 without any problems. Usually, cheaper than buying a kit. You can take a few pieces out to streamline it and clean it up too.
