Brat Seat Mounting Question

Hoping someone can help me with this. I'm putting a brat seat (similar to the DCC model) on my CB550 and my battery box pokes about 1cm above the frame so I can't mount the seat flush. See the attached photo

Figure I can't be the first person to have this problem, how have other guys dealt with this? Are there some rubber stoppers like the ones on the underside of the stock seat I can buy somewhere?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You could buy 2 strips of ABS plastic that are right around the width of the frame rails and the thickness of our battery box height excess. Run the 2 strips of plastic down the left and right side of the seat (almost like train tracks that would sit on top of the frame rails). They would act as a washer or spacer between the seat and the frame.

I would even consider taking pieces of bicycle inner tube and cutting them to make sleeves to slide the ABS spacers into to dampen vibration a bit and keep hard surfaces off your frame rails.
