Hi Guys,
A little back story first. I have been a life-time rider in the dirt. Started on 3wheelers when I was a kid, rode quads, dirt bikes. Didn't get into street riding until about a year ago. I have had ATC250R 3wheelers for about 15 years now, and they are great machines. I must give credit where credit is due - I stumbled onto some pictures and build thread of CharlieT / Checkered Past Cycles' "Mongrel" build where they took an ATC250R frame and engine, and put a Buell Front end, CBR F2 rear end on it, and made a very cool 250cc road machine....

Ever since I saw this thing, I had to have one.
I have built 3wheeler and quad parts for myself for a long time, I am handy with a tig welder and I know enough machining to make myself a danger to my own health...
My dad and I finished up a project engine for an ATC250R about 2 years ago, and ever since that was completed I've been kind of day-dreaming about building a 2wheeler to put this custom power plant in we built. It started life as scrap ATC250R engine cases. I procured a Skidoo Summit 800 cylinder and head, and long story short basically welded/machined/hacked those parts to make myself a 410cc counter balanced 6 speed 2 stroke engine (with custom pipe...)

So, this gives you a little idea of what kind of crazy shit I dream up and throw together....lol
So, the plan on this beast I am building is an 85 ATC250R frame, with an old clapped out motor to begin with before I put the rotax conversion in it. The front and rear end are SV650 units I have already bought. The frame is titled MC. The SV650 front end parts should be here right before Christmas and should allow me a few days to do a little mock up and see how much modification to the steering neck and steering stem areas will need to be done.
Should be a pretty cool machine!
