I have taken almost every key required function off of my bike, including the ignition. Having to carry around a key everywhere to fuel the bike was getting annoying. I did several searches to find alternatives, and saw someone had done this. I decided I would try it also. With a little patience (it takes 4 hands to get the cap back together) and a few tries, I finally got it right. Now when I need to fuel up, I simply push the cap down and pull the tab.
The key hole is simply aesthetic now.
