I changed the oil and filter, front wheel bearings, and progressive fork springs (removed the air cap). I replaced the rectifier, and the charging system works great. Next, I need to do a valve adjustment, and the bike should be good to go for a while.
In the future, I'd really like to do a battery-less set up for simplicity/wiring sake, but from everything I've read, that's not really an option. I'll have to rejet the carbs once I do pods. Stainless brake lines, bar end mirrors, smaller headlight, small gauges (I'd really only like to run one... I kinda wish they made the tach with the integrated indicator lights. I've seen diy indicator lights, so I can always make it...) There's definitely a list...
My goal is to do the rear hoop and seat first and run it for a while before I do too much with the carbs/engine. I'd really like to learn the ends and outs of maintenance before I mess with everything.
At least that will give it most of the look. I tried turning the bars down, but I didn't really like the feel of riding low. So I guess its a brat/tracker style. I've seen a lot of references to wrenchmonkees, CRD, deus, and brat style. It'll fit in that vein... I guess the question is, does it fit in the cafe build thread, tracker, or the "specials"?
