despite the high price of these items, does anyone have any experience with these? my understanding is that they are build on original seat pans and therefore can be attached using standard method without having to change anything on the seats or bike. also does anyone have images of their or others bikes that have these seats on them?
Never used one of those seats before, but you should check out hotwing glass out of Florida USA....great quality and easy mounting.

I've got a Hot Wing. The quality is ok at best. To get it to an acceptable look I must file down the back of the rear to make it even. If you lay it on a flat surface you can really tell it flawed. Anyhow each seat will prolly need modification. I plan on going with one of this Chinese "brat" style seats for my cb750 that I am working on,IF I can't find someone local to do the upholstery. If you are looking for cafe style seats in fiberglass I would really point you in the direction of Rock City. I have not purchased from him but there are quite a few members on here that have, I can't recall any complaints and he is a sponsor of dtt. Also Benji's makes some really rad stuff along with Rock city! Good luck Bro!
modification being my draw back as well i've been hesitant to get anything yet.
i'm thinking of just going with the seat tank combo... we'll see good luck and let us know what you find. cheers.
I know of at least one other forum member (or maybe it was on Kawasaki Twins Owners Forum) who bought one who was not so happy with it - he said he thought his was too bulky.
I just got one of the cover / foam sets from him for my cb550 project. Out of the box the quality is not the best, the foam is ROCK hard, and the vinyl is OK. The seats ship from Vietnam and take a LONG time to get here (no tracking #) I tried to put it together last weekend and could not get the cover and foam to work, I brought it to an upholsterer today and he seems to think that he will need to make some modifications to the cover for it to work (trimming the fabric) I am supposed to hear back from him tomorrow.
