In all honesty... I'm not a big fan of the ol trikes in any form really. That said, I think its funny when folks on a site like this get all hot and bothered about them. We spend hours talking about the guys who set rad shit in motion (Ed Roth, Ken Howard, etc.) than laugh when someone builds something like they did back in the day.

If most of the machines built by the pioneers of hot rod and motorcycle culture (American at least) showed up here, 99% of our members would throw a fit about how "awful" they were. That first trike looks like it couldve rolled out of Mondos shop in '74. That's ok with me man. I wouldn't own it, but I respect it. Hell, I feel that way about the majority of bikes on this thread. As long as its safe and it works...

Sorry for the rant. Just bugs me how quickly we forget what made us. Now lets get back to the self righteous douch-baggery. ;)

You missed the price tag

Exactly. I wasn't bitchin about the machine, just it's price tag. But hey, everyone is free to ask what they please. Those trikes aren't my kinda machine but I can respect the work that went into them, kinda like lowriders ya know? lol.

I saw it. Bet he gets it too. Hell, that's a couple grand less than a high end HD and they sell those by the truck load. Bet it cost more to build it.

I hear ya man. Wasn't really trying to single you out. Just see that mentality on here a lot. I get that its mostly a cafe racer oriented site, so I generally don't say much about it. But, I juat thi k its funny how so many here get all tied up in the "culture" b.s. but when it comes to the real deal stuff they turn up their noses.

I have a buddy building a trike out of a 70's Porsche 911. I was wrecked hard in the front and bought the rear half cut cheap. To all their own.

No worries bud, my skin is thick. I rode to work at about 40 degrees and came home at 72.

Hey don't hate he once did 200 mph on that "thang"

The fact that this is a real advertisement to get people to want to give him their money for his property is just a fantastic thing. And bradj-- no doubt man, miles... MILES

That's it, I am out. I no longer own a 'cafe racer'. Need a new label.
