Can't even fix the tank. It would be worth more stock and he turned it into another half baked cafe. Could have easily gotten 5k if he even attempted to restore it. Swan's resto here is a how-to guide.

Agreed. I don't mind this whole café thing, but some bikes needn't the treatment. The 400/4 is a gem of a bike and deserves more respect. I recently talked one of my boys into buying one. $1,900. Did the brakes got rid of some wonky handle bars and new fuel lines and it ran like a fine watch. I think this spring I might find a nice one to haul my fat ass around, they were really amazing little bikes.
beauty in the eye of the beholder. Plus, there is no standard definition of just what a "cafe" or "brat" etc. are. Me, I like my 2 builds just as they are,mostly stock with just enough performance and handling upgrades to make them safe to ride at speed.Plus some nice paint just for eye candy.bj

I'm sorry, but I have a problem with trailers for motorcycles (trikes too). At a certain point you just need to break down and by a Ford Focus. If needed, kick out the front windshield and wear a helmet.

Yeah, for the 400, engine and suspension work only, maybe rearsets and bar change, cut nothing.

I don't like to pull anything but we go n bikes to races and to have someone pull a trailer full of food and a bbq sur is nice.
One of the sparkys I worked with in Lincoln used to pull his XR600 behind his Gold Wing form Lincoln to Colorado every year.
