"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Whatchu all think about this thing? Cosmetically it could use some help, but I bet it's a beast to ride.

I talked to the guy who built it and he said it's faster than his Ducati 1098.

I don't know about faster than a Duc1098 but that's a nice RD!

I don't know about that either... but he owns them both, so I guess he would know better than me.

I agree. A new seat, chopped fenders and a new taillight would all do it good.

I'd leave it alone - doesn't look great, but a great bike to troll for squids! Most would never get past the ugly and not notice the modern suspension.

There is so much wrong with that RD its almost tragic. Nothing that seems like it couldn't be fixed, but... Oh, and I'll be putting my money on that Ducati. RDs can be very fast, but I'm pretty sure nobody has ever run an RD on the street with basic mods and off the shelf chambers at over 180 mph. ;)

I guess I have the wrong idea of what a Café Racer is.

Nice bike though, I have always liked the tank on these, this could make a nice looking Café Racer.

Good news, the tach only JUST went out.

"I would be willing to trade for a sport bike"

Or a unicorn, or suspension bridge. The sidecover is awesome.
