I saw that one over the weekend and thought wtf? I really don't like it at all- proportions seem all wrong and color... well, it's a matter of taste. And yes, a lot of time & dollars and no fork brace?

Purple velvet seat on this one http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org/mcy/3887624230.html

Thats well worth the money over here in the UK, you could even have the seat and paint done and still make money on a resale.

Last ran in 1999. Serious offers only. ::)

Well, to be fair that does look to be a well surviving sandcast which makes it worth quite a bit to a collector. His big issue is non original paint. Still way overpriced

what do they mean by "sandcast" does that mean the engine parts are sandcast? and why does that make it more important then any other non sandcast?

Yes. Early 750s had sandcast engine cases (and some other parts I believe). There are some other sublte differences as well. I've read that Honda wasn't sure if the 750 would sell so they didn't want to spend the money on proper castings and whatnot at first. The reason they're desirable is because they were made in small numbers and not all survived. Add to that the fact that the CB750 is on the very short list of the most important motorcycles ever to the history of motorcycling and motorcycle design and... Big money.
