"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

I was just having a conversation with a fella last night that said the porting is all done internally dor compression and rebound adjustment, only the surface had to be drilled and tapped for the fitting...
He said he thought the info came from this board... Anyone???

well i guess in theory you could add an adjustable flow restricting valve to the passage between the res and the body.it is the only type of adjustment that you could add without a complete redesign
this valve i speak of would only effect hi-speed damping,as in a hard, heavy, quick load
but i wouldn't bother they only have 68mm travel that's less than 2-3/4"
1-1/2"+ less than a quality made aftermarket shock and less than any stock shock
you see they are using one shock body and shaft size and just changing the length of the mount end for to fit a range of lengths
it is a smart way to do it cost/production wise for them but the customer is getting the short end o the stick

your missing my point ,because having shit,short travel is not an improvement
those things have a huge steep rising rate spring set-up as well as the short travel its the only way to make them work it is just stupid
you would be better off drilling a screw hole in your stock shocks and rinsing/filling them with oil,dont laugh i've done it

Raising rate? Do you mean progressive rate? I actually like that feature.

I'm not a spokes person for these shocks but I have a set on my bike and think they work great! Just saying... Lots of guys have purchased them in my circle and have found the same thing. We are talking aggressive street riding not road racing. Btw.
I'm sure there are better shocks out there, redwings or hagons might be a couple but 3/4 of the riders you are talking to probably would never know the difference.

I'd pass on that, it has a salvage title. Without knowing details of whyt it has a salvage title, I don;t want to worry about a frame cracking or engine falling out.

The first picture is a stock photo...the real bike looks hammered.
