The sad fact is that when he finally sells that thing for the inflated price of $3K, the first thing the new owner is going to do is remove the woodwork. It's beautiful but pointless. Blown glass is beautiful too, but I wouldn't buy a bike built out of it.

If he would paint the tank semi-gloss black, put wooden site panels/knee guards on the tank, and put little spots of brass or bronze here and there(Nuts, accent bolts, timing cover, Etc.). I think it could look cool, but still not worth the 3K! But it could look good if he went just a wee bit further AND he might actually get his asking price, because IMO it looks unfinished and unbalanced from the front side compared to the back...
