Parts are still available and the internet has several forum communities that provide alot of information. You can still get many parts from local Suzuki dealers. I picked one up last fall, easily my favorite bike right now.

The major issue with these motors are the crank seals. Cranks need to be pressed apart to replace them, usually the seals rot from these bikes sitting too long. There are a few dudes here in the US that are trusted by the kettle community to rebuild these, I don't think I'd attempt it. For a grand that bike's a steal.

There was one at Barber in '13 for $600. Probably could have taken it for $500. I'm still kicking myself for not buying it. I had already filled my trailer up.
