"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

Good God, it's ugly. And you might want to tighten that chain.
I don't know why, but I always feel like anyone who runs less than 4 carbs on a 4 cylinder bike are just too lazy to figure out how to properly tune them.

I don't know why you feel that way either because building a well tuned custom manifold and tuning a single carb to run multiple cylinders that were meant for multiple carbs is not a simple task to perform successfully. Tuning identical carbs to run the same is not too difficult. In closing, yes that bike is a p.o.s. either way.

If it wasnt in Mass I'd probably put it on my watch list.

My thoughts exactly. I guess for $199 I could ship it and be all in around $600 tie down to eye strapped to an 8' pallet with no sides.

Another "REAL HEAD TURNER".

Yep it sure is. I keep having to look away.

It's almost like somebody intentionally built the ugliest bike they could build.

People really are stupid.

that tail section is bigger than the tank.

he was actually inspired by the song, "i like big butts and i cannot lie"

Bikes like that are a shame to me because the same amount of work could have yielded much better results. Argue if you want, but there is at least some time and monies spent on that ride and it could have been so much more

Sometimes too much much brain in the room has bad results. Proof that even genius and skill can produce shit...

One thing is it probably handles better than half the USD Mono conversions out there.

Take the Baja 250 Tractor Supply Special tank off of there, ditch the funky intakes and the exhaust, and burn that seat and tail in a fiery pit. Then re-clad it and add a front fender, and you got yourself a nice ride.

Can I say that this one may actually be a nice ride, a little too much but wouldn't you pay that much to put all those parts on if you did it yourself?

As for the xs400, I have heard they were never a great bike, underpowered, overweight and unreliable. Thoughts? That fat ass bike shouldn't get all the discussion.
