Would be nice to have a clue where it is, like what state?

Ahhhhh ..... you've just wandered onto the "DTT United Kingdom" thread - therein lies the clue.

For those living in the UK or intending to travel, it's in Staffordshire, in the County Town of Stafford. That's pretty well in the middle of the UK and just north of Birmingham.

Ah. I didn't come here from an index, so I had no idea it was UK thread. I get notifications of new posts from facebook, and navigated here from that.

I thought for sure you were talking about something in Virginia. <G>

I'm sure the weather might be better in Virginia !

Surplus,

We [ RAM ] might be there in an official capacity - I'll liaise with you nearer the time .

Hi this could be intresting any idea what the cost off a stand would be and what sort of bikes are you thinking of showing on the stand cafe racers, trackers ? I do go to the show and never see a lot of people showing anything but restorations as a rule and it would be nice to get together with other members of this forum from the uk .

I am awaiting stand details at the moment, any bike that represents the feel/attitude of this site would be welcome on the stand. cafe/tracker/bobber. might even show a nice little bike of my friends, super charged triumph pre unit drag bike ;)

Now that is an incentive to get something built over the winter. Count me in as I will be going anyway. Could always bring the Guzzi up.

Don't you dare Pod !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;)

I'm still getting over the trauma of selling my 60's styled Cafe Racer Lemon ! And to a lesser degree my Sport 1100 Inj and Centauro.

Got gazzumped on a V50 project over the weekend [ £250 ! ] after I said I'd have it - the guy sold it from under me.

There WILL be a Guzzi in my life again one day................... 8)

Only kidding PLEASE bring it ! ;D

yes Pod - guess I HAVE been lucky .........and IF I could have only one back - what would it be ?????

Hey that could be the start of a new discussion thread !!!!

For those Guzzi-istas - yes the Sport Inj 1100 [ nearest camera ] IS wearing Centauro clothing - the valve covers are the instant giveaway.

The guy I bought it from REALLY wanted a Centauro couldn't find one so converted his Sport.

I WANTED a Centauro - couldn't find one [ at the right money ]- and bought his.

TWO WEEKS LATER, I saw the Centy in the background advertised not 10 miles away from where I'd bought the "Mongrel". The owner was a typical mid-life crisis biker and when the Centy did it's party piece of cutting out on 1 cylinder [ at the lights ], then chimed back in on 2 and threw him AND his 13 year old Daughter off ... he decided to sell it. NEVER rode it again after the off and I bought it for absolutely stupid money.

The fix as all Centy / Sport owners know - is a new ECU chip, pods on the injectors and a cross over exhaust [ don't ask me why ! ] and then they are as sweet tempered as any early carb'd Guzzi.

Still wish I had my Mk1 Cafe Racer Lemon though !

Here it is in final mock up waiting for final fitting of brakes etc. I relented on the Red and fitted st.st. Lemon exhaust and Contis.

The Photoshopping [ girl ] was done by a guy on another forum !

We would dearly love to come to the show...even bring a couple of the stroker cafes we currently have on the go, but it's just so sodding far away from East Kent.

Hi Titan,
I'm only up the M2 from you (gravesend) so if you want to share costs on a van or company on the ride up, let me know.

Thanks Pod, that's worth bearing in mind. We have a van, and trailers. Did you want to take a bike along? We can probably squeeze 3 bikes into the van, and 3 people.

I always find the problem is how to bring the new purchase(s) home ;D

Seriously I am happy to step forward and see if we can organise a Do The Ton stand (hopefully it's not too late) as long as I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. I know Surplus6 was going to look into it.
