i need to sync my carbs but i really dont wanna by the tool. im willing to pay for usps flat rate shipping to me and back if someone is willing to lend me one. OR if you are in the new york area i can pick it up and just get it done right out front

1. go to home depot
2. buy yardstick
3. buy 1/4 pvc tubing for gardens/coy pond pumps
4. buy zip ties or tape
5. buy some marvel mystery oil or something that wont fuck up your carbs if it gets sucked in aka not water
6. google homemade manometer

12' of clear tube, fork oil, some zip ties and something to tie it to (a strip of box alloy in my case) gives you one of these:

You don't need a ruler or any increments if you have the tubes right next to each other (they just need to be level when you sync the carbs)

Out curiosity ADC how much did that cost to make? The 4 gauge sets are rather pricey.

I did buy a set of these a while back before they were almost $30 and they get put on the bike every tune up or anytime I mess with the carbs. If you like to tinker you will use them.

It cost me about $15 to make. It's my original design.

The larger diameter tubes at the top, I call "bubble tubes." Each one is big enough to contain all of the fluid in the manometer. That way when things are out of balance, the gasses can bubble through the fluid rather than sucking it all into the engine. (The fluid is automatic transmission fluid.)

The "J" bolts with the wingnuts are to restrict flow and steady the pulsations. Without something to restrict the flow, the fluid will be sucked into the engine in spite of the bubble tubes. (The bubble tubes could easily be a larger diameter, and it would be a design improvement.
