Best way to clean a carb body anyone? Shy of an ultrasonic cleaner is there an efficient way to get at those nooks and crannys?

Diesel,

My preferred technique is to boil them in lemon juice and water. Take tme apart first.!

Let me see if I can find the thread that talks about it.

You can also try carb cleaner but it is kind of expensive and pretty toxic stuff. I would stick with the lemon juice, people on this forum have been pretty happy with the results, just know it will probably leave kind of a grayish color on the carb bodies.

I know you said "Shy of ultrasonic cleaner" but my local guy ran it through 4 times in the ultrasonic cleaner and it was $25... the before and after was ridiculous. He even took the time to brush out the bowls and clean out every orifice with carb cleaner afterwards. it really helps break up the gunk and gum and stuff up in the impossible to reach holes/areas.

I have heard the boiling with lemon juice works great too...
