saucer said:this might be basic for most of you, but i'm a noob, i snapped my clutch cable on my cb 360 , is it something a shop has to replace, or can i try to install, the bike is sitting on the street now,
saucer said:thanks canadaDan, i'll check the shop first thing, i've also have a donor 360, if they don't have the cable in stock i can also try taking it off the donor bike, i have to move fast , i don't want the bike towed,it's about 5ks from my house or i'd try pushing it,
saucer said:yeah it's on a side street off the lakeshore, i have a clymer manual, should that be enough, do they usually have to order a clutch cable?
make sure it's premium, cause that only way they will send a flat bed, you dont want know what a tow truck will do to a bike, you like cruched crank cases?dhani said:hey dood.
i think you should get a CAA membership. i'm getting one for my trip this weekend. it's like $126 for the premium package which includes 5 calls for the year, 350 KMs of towning etc. you can use it on any vehicle you own or you are a passanger in. i'm going down to the office today on King and Yonge.

saucer said:yeah i will for sure get that, sounds like a great idea, maybe when i get back, thanks dhani for the clutch cable , but it wasn't that simple, we had hope, i have a brand new one for you when you get back, noel tried to fix it but no go, i might be looking for a 550, it's got to be in amazing shape, i can't deal with being stranded any more,
found a 550 on CL that looks pretty rad. it's almost the exact same as mine, sans k pipes. however, the guy is completely out of his mind and asking $4500.saucer said:yeah i will for sure get that, sounds like a great idea, maybe when i get back, thanks dhani for the clutch cable , but it wasn't that simple, we had hope, i have a brand new one for you when you get back, noel tried to fix it but no go, i might be looking for a 550, it's got to be in amazing shape, i can't deal with being stranded any more,

i would find some similar listings and email them to him. most of these bikes are between $700 and $2000.

my scooter group has discussed this and our group has group package with caa, and several members have experience a p[remium member can request a flat bed, and a harness aint good if positioned wrong can crush casings if positioned right bike swings into truck and smashes cases i have friends that have totaled there bikes cause they call a tow truck for a busted cable.DrJ said:There's no choice of what type of truck they will send but you can try and request a flatbed. Just tell them you need a truck for a bike and they send something appropriate whether it's a flatbed, cradle or harness. All of them work fine and won't damage your bike. I've always had CAA Premium and it comes in handy. You can even use it to tow your bike from your home to a shop, you don't need to be broken down on the road.
