CB 360 Seat Pan & Fairing (Work in Progress)

Got my first mockup of the seatpan for my CB 360 build done. Many many more to come. I'm liking the lines on this particular iteration, although it's a bit small (got carried away with the hot knife). Reminds me a bit of a 70s 'vette

Been a while - been busy disassembling the rest of the bike, including the engine. Total teardown

Working on seat pan fitment and overall scale relative to tank. Last one is the closest to final form I've come up with as of yet. I think I'll decrease the sharpness of the break lines to help the contours fit in with the tank.

I know opinions are like assholes, but I like the first version. The overall shape looks great and not like anything normally seen. That said, your bike, you gotta do what makes you happy and the shape of the second form looks like it's going to be refined a bit before you call it done. Looking forward to seeing the final product, nice work!

I've been overthinking it all winter. You're right though, the last one feels quite generic, while the curvier fairing interacts better with the tank.

I think I'm personally responsible for all the 360's being built ;D
After I 'fixed' top end oiling problemsand varios other modificatins, people find they are a fun little bike - more fun tham many others I've ridden
Just wish the Japanese manufacturers would pay me royalties for creating a 'new' market for the ~300cc bikes ;D :

Ok you guys were right. Went back to the original design. Looks a little less ducky when fitted to the electronics pan.

Here's one of it cleaned up and on the bike. Still have to do some trimming. I destroyed the foam underneath and will be doing a secondary fiberglass layup underneath to add mounting grommets and additional strength.
