Been Around the Block
Hi I'm coming to the part of my build were I've got to start thinking about making a wiring harness .the thought of it fills me with dread .does anyone have a simplified diagram .I'm wanting to keep starter and run front and rear break switches .+ indicators .probably oil light .Cheers yozzer

I don't get how people think they need to "make" a wiring harness. Just use the stock one and if you take something off....just disconnect it and leave the wiring there.

It's not like you're going to save weight or anything by making a whole new harness from scratch (well, not much anyway).

Because stock wiring harnesses on 40 year old bikes dry out, crack, split, splay, short, get sliced up by po's, and all kinds of other things. You can spend half the time making a new harness as you do chasing gremlins on the old stock one. Then you get the benefit of fresh new wiring, user specific routing, upgradability, etc. Weight has nothing to do with it.

Here is one I use:

If I were to buy one it would be difficult because I have moved things around

Not too difficult, no. 99% of what we do is custom work, so moving things around is part of the game. :)

Hi could anyone cast a eye over this diagram I've drawn .and let me no what's good and what's not .I'm not too sure how to wire controls up so I've included diagrams of these too .any help would be greatly appreciated .thanks .
