I am re-assembling my CB36o Engine now. The Shop Manul references to set the Stator at "LT" line up the lines on the cam sprocket and than bolt the cam to the sproket. I am afraid I may bolt this up 180* out and the manual picture is too fuzzy to reference. If I line it up one way, than both cam lobes on the Inside (Stator Side) Cylinder are "UP" if I position it to line up the other way both inside lobes are "DOWN"

Does anyone know which way is correct? Thanks!

I'm at work so I can't reference this right now but I think there is one step you've overlooked. I believe that there is a nub, or bump, on the end of the cam shaft that needs to be the in up position, if I recall. With the LT line, spoket line and bump all in the correct positions, you can't go wrong. Hopefully someone can jump in or I'll respond agian this evening to verify.

Doesn't matter which way you put it in. The crank turns over twice for every single rotation of the cam and so sometimes it will be lobes up on LT and sometimes it will be lobes down.

LT lined up with timing mark, sprocket line in line with cylinder head ("horizontal" position), bump on the end of the cam (called Dowel Pin) also in the up position. The dowel pin is on the side of the shaft that comes out of the head, or the timing mechanism side. From here you can get in one bolt on the sprocket into the cam and then you can rotate the assembly to the next bolt hole.
