CB/CL/CJ 360 Cam Chain Guide Aftermarket Pre Order

Legendary?

Wassup? Still alive?

Any news, progress, inquiring minds want to know?

Been a while since we heard from you....

He just went through some personal issues...maybe he just isn't online again.

I may call his Fitness Club to see if he is still kicking.

I believe our Friend "Legendary Fitness" is David Quest, a Gym owner/manager?

His "office is in Canada. Here's the website: http://legendary-fitness.com/

If you are a member of DTT and live near the Gym, mind seeing if it is open? Or legit...
620 King St
E Cambridge, ON N3H 3N6, Canada

I may try a call shortly too....I like to know what's going on....

I suspect he intended to do this, but either personal misfortune or poor planning got the best of him....

I also suspect my $100 is not coming home anytime soon.

Hi Guys,

I just got an email to the gym and they forward to my cell. Sorry I haven't been on so long and left everyone hanging. Coming on here and messaging you would have meant admitting defeat and I'm embarrassed that I failed so monumentally. I was hoping before it came to that, somehow I would come up with a way to make these things work. Either that or disputes through PayPal would start rolling and I'd be refunding money.

The small CNC machine doesn't do a very good job at all. I spent a lot of time and money trying to get it to make different cuts at the different angles required to make the guides. It also vibrates too much and shows in the plastic. It would probably do good with wood or aluminum but plastic is not working. So the end result is that to make each piece I sit at this machine for 2-3 hours per guide and get shitty results at the end of it anyway. Very discouraging and I'm ssooo done.

I'll be listing the CNC and whats left of the sheet of plastic on kijiji to try and cut my losses. Any requests for refunds will be honored through PayPal. Just go into your PayPal and open a dispute on the transaction and I'll refund it as soon as I can. There should only be about 10 people as I stopped accepting payments when things started going bad with the guy who screwed me before I bought the CNC machine.

Sorry again guys. I've learned a valuable lesson through all of this. I won't be taking on mammoth projects that cost an ass load of money and I know sh!t all about in the future. No matter what the need and how cool it would be to help people out. Maybe some of you will learn from my mistakes too.

Best Regards,

Dave

It has come to my attention that disputes cannot be opened through paypal after 60 days. PM me your email address that you USED for paypal (so I can do a search for the transaction on my end) and I'll refund your money manually as I get funds in. Thanks.

Thanks Legendary. Showed up already.

I always felt you were a right kind of guy, and you didn't disappoint me or the others.

I know you were going through some personal issues.

The only advice I have for someone doing these things is to communicate.

We all get nervous when we don't hear anything at all.

Thanks again...I hope your other endeavors are successful.

I really wish this one was....The idea was solid.....

PANDKNZ refund sent.

Money is back in the bank, still would have prefered the guides, its a shame you could not make it happen as I think you were onto a good thing, hence why I invested but your efforts will not be forgotten and that promissed ride up the sunshine coast of Qld still stands if you ever get to the land down under

Right on. Thanks guys. I'm actually still working on other ways to go about making them. We'll see. Might not be over just yet. I still have a 10x4 $3000 sheet of bomb proof plastic to play with. lol. Enough to do LOTS of experimenting on!

The cool thing is that once I find a solid way of doing the 360 I should be able to do different bikes with the same issues. You'd be surprised how many!
CX500 for example.

Really hope everything works out and you can find some way to get them made.
There is a market but initial outlay must be crazy expensive for an individual and a very slow return on investment

As a machinist it is all about setup to cut down on chatter when machining plastics.

I personally run a cnc retrofitted bridgeport and might look into making a set. I can write programs and such.
Also other plastic materials would be good to look into. Something that is slick but wear resistant.

I will talk with my father (plastics guru. ran a molding company for years.) about material type once I have my cb 360 guides pulled.
