Cb125 carb tuning

I am working on my cb125 and got the idle fixed and can get it to idle smoother now.

But when I go to ride it has no power and dies out with any acceleration.

Is this a jetting issue?

Bike rides when I have the idle set super high (4-5,000) but I know thats not good for it.

Now the carb on this bike is off a sl125. I switched the main jet to the stock 105 the cb125 requires. Idle jets are the same on both style of bikes.

Would there be a difference in the needle and needle seat that could cause a problem?
Maybe the cutaway on the slide is different?

What are your compression numbers and have you verified the ignition timing with a strobe light?

Have not checked timing and I have about over 100 psi. Cant remember number but it was close to what I needed. And it only got up to 100+ after I kicked her over a bunch.

Sounds like it could be multiple issues.

You should be seeing closer to 150 PSI on a warm engine, but we can set that aside for now.

Let us know what your timing looks like and we can take it from there.
