CB160 to CB200 stator swap?

Just read that it's possible to swap out a CB200 stator for a CB160 stator for more output -- true? I've got a CB160 with the usual weak output problem. I've switched to a better rect/reg set up, so I've got the regulator. Is this possible? Anyone ever done it? Results?

While I can't answer your question I can say that the cb360 stator fits the cb200 with minor modification, so would probably be a suitable choice as well.

I was going to post the exact same thing. it's literally a difference only in mounting hardware....that said....if a cb175/200 stator would fit, instead of buying a used stator, buy the Ricks kit for a cb360 to run in your bike, we did this on a friends cb200 and it made an astronomical difference, 13v at idle, 14.8 at 3k rpms, and it runs a nice 55w H4 headlight now.
