After fighting around with the DIY throttle cable(how frustrating) i gave up and ordered a CB175 cable everyone said works and is pre assembled.
Problem is the two ends that attach to the carb seem to be too short? they were hard to compress the spring and get trough the slides and now they hold the carbs at about 1/2 open even with the adjustment wound down, am i doing something wrong?
the problem i was having with the DIY cable is it did not have threading to go into my stock CJ360 handle control and throttle tube.
So i ordered the CB175 cable but the carb ends were too short and kept the carbs at 3/4 open.
I ended up taking both apart and putting the carb ends i made custom to length from the DIY cable into the 2into1 adapter with the CB175 single upper cable which threads into my stock throttle assembly. other then the cable being half black and half grey now it appears to work, still need to adjust.
just rode the bike for the first time in 2.5 years and man does it feel good to know i put this thing together with my own hands. such a great feeling, thanks to everyone on this site that helped me along the way, pics and vids to come in my build thread later
