CB250 Cafe project

My first bike project ever. I picked up the 1992 nighthawk 250 bike from a friend and decided to re-style it as a cafe racer. After hours on the web and looking through this site I decided the direction I wanted to go.
I had the tank and the front fender powder coated
Clubman Handle bars
Cafe seat from Roc City Cafe Racers
Lights, grips from Dime City Cycles
Upholstery from local shop
New Chain
Taillight from Sim Speed USA

As you can see I relocated the wiring harness, air box, and battery.

Cool little bike! Have you considered lowering the front slightly? An inch would probably give it a little meaner stance. Looks a lot better than I gave the Nighthawk credit for, though!

Hey i love that bike. I have to ask on that seat how much of the frame did you have to tweak or is the frame unmodified? Do you have a link to which seat you used. I love the look you have there. I have a 450 I would love to follow some of your cues on.

Mounting the seat required modification of the frame. I cut the frame off about 1 foot behind the shocks. To attach the seat to the frame, I bolted a metal strap across both sides of the frame just behind the tank.
To bolt the seat to the frame, I used that strap and drilled one hole in the center and drilled two holes in the existing frame support towards the rear of the frame to bolt the seat down.
I drilled three holes in the seat and used 3/8 bolts and rubber grommets to bolt it down.

I have attached some pictures that will hopefully help explain my rambling.

The seat I ordered was from Roc City Cafe Racers. It is the Bonneville Cafe Seat. It is made to fit a smaller framed bike. The link to the item is below.
