Hi all
I've been having a look at my frame, and thinking of ways of cleaning it up a bit.
This is what I have (stock image of a 91, mine is a 98 and a bit rough around the edges)
Here's what I'm thinking.
Cut and loop as indicated by my fantastic paint skills. I would have a steel rear guard and new front guard made up. Indicators replaced with short flat black bullet style.

Remove extra indicator rubbish, and clean up the seat lock/helmet holder. Also those hand holds cut them and make them sit straight down, for panniers (daily ride)

The original seat pan sits pretty flush with the frame, and if I cut/loop where I want and just refoam the seat I can use the existing mounting option.

I would get the seat foam replaced, and it would remove most of that pillion hump. Just have it slightly angled up I would think. (Seat isn't locked in there)

I would have the seat reupholstered and hopefully the end result would be similar to the following examples
For now I plan on using the original tank, its not that ugly and with the original seat pan it would have a reasonable amount of flowing lines to it.
Here is one done Cafe style using the original tank but an aftermarket seat. I'm hoping for a more flowing look with the seat, and I plan on making covers over the battery/airbox until I get myself a second motor to rebuild in my downtime. Then I'll do the whole pod filter, cleaned up electrics etc and probably change the tank/seat combo for a more retro look (unless I love the way the mach 1 version turns out)
Any advice/cheers/jeers would be appreciated
Cheers
Glenn
