CB350 Basic Wiring Necessities - HELP

I'm getting ready to wire up my 73 CB350G and am going with all new wiring - except I may use existing coil wires. I'm only running a headlight, taillight + other necessary components (no other accessories).

Does a simple diagram exist out there with just the basics? I admittedly suck at wiring but am learning.

I need to have a rectifier and a regulator right?
What are the pros and cons against buying one combined vs. separate? I already did pick up a small little rectifier that my bud recommended that he runs on his 350.

Can anyone confirm everything I need?

A modern, combined regulator/rectifier will be more reliable and efficient. If you're starting fresh and not looking to keep the bike factory, definitely go that route.

You can probably find just the regulator/rectifier piece somewhere, but if you're hoping for great lights...:

You could locate a factory wiring chart (they are everywhere), open it in MS Paint or Photoshop, and start erasing the wires for the functions you dont plan on using. See what remains afterwards and post it up here for confirmation.

Regulator and rectifier are both needed, yeah. As mentioned before, an upgrade to a modern part will give you a more reliable system. What wasn't mentioned is that a modern part will also let you run a lithium ion battery, which is much smaller and lighter than the lead acid variety. If you try to run a lithium ion battery on the stock regulator you'll fry the battery in pretty short order.
