CB350 Demo Bike

A friend of mine was selling this running (but not titled) CB350 for $500 and I decided to grab it. I needed a demo bike for our upcoming three phase stator kit and the price was right.

It's currently running from a capacitor with the original regulator and rectifier and zero lighting.

The plans are to get the paperwork in order, install all the necessary controls and lights so that I can get it back to street legal state, and then swap out the stator for one of our kits.

Also in the works is solving the identity crisis. The bike currently has the front end from an XL250, but the back end is stock. I have some Konis and an SL swinger on the way from XB. New tires will probably be on the menu as well.

I'm hoping this thing will be offroad capable so that I can finally learn to ride off the street, but I will eventually be selling it, so I'm hoping to not pour too much $$$ into it...

I got an afternoon of work in, yesterday.

The tank has been filled with Metal Rescue for two days and that's loosened a ton of crap. I've rinsed the tank out with some old bad gas I've had laying around and it took about five tried before chunks stopped clogging the petcock. I did another few times after that just to be sure.

Got some Uni filters onto the carbs and the bike fired up on the 4th kick or so.

Up next is the electrical work. I'm waiting on an electrics tray from Cognito Moto before I tear too far into it. I may give the bike a precursory cleaning while I wait..

I just got an email from the manufacturer, yesterday. They're in the process of moving their production facilities and things have been delayed (again, for the third time). The latest response I have is, "Thank you for waiting, we will try to delivery before the end of May."

I'm in.

Get some S100 from Amazon to wash and rinse. That stuff will blow your mind how good it will clean. Has acidic qualities, so do a through rinsing on aluminum. It's on the pricier side, which made me skeptical, but I have become a huge fan.

Looks like it even comes in aerosol?

I'm in, and that cleaner looks good too. Might grab some for the CX to make it cleaner to sell better LOL. Matt got the lights on Sat but haven't done anything but unbox them and stare at them, nice looking kit, can't wait to mount them and try them out. Put the stickers on the tool box too. thanks again.

Ah, cool. I've never tried the aerosol. I've been using the gallon concentrate.

I just ordered a can, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Probably not as cost efficient as the gallon concentrate, but I'm hoping the ease of use might make up for it.

That S100 is available at your local Harley shops, that's where I get mine.

I get a spray bottle with a little sponge in the box, I think around 14 or 15 bux.

What size wheel is that on the front?

Like to watch and see where you go with the bike.

May end up upgrading some of my electronics on one of mine soon.

Yep, 21" except for the 3 years or so when they went with the weirdo 23" front wheel.

Out with the old...

Removed all of the old electrics except the coils and condensors. Then I got a Cognito Moto tray into place.
