CB350 Speedo Question

So the Speedo on my CB350 barely works, but while accelerating it bounces all over the place and once I get above 35 it gets really bad... after 50 if I am giving it any gas, it pretty much gets pegged at 110... Any ideas as to what is the issue... Possibly the cable? or will i have to tear these things apart? They are in pretty good condition otherwise.

If it's like what I'm thinking, there's a small magnet and wound up spring inside that control the.......smoothness (?) of the needle. I've never had to deal with the internals though, so I can't really help.

I am sure that is what it is... not stoked about having to tear in to the speedo however... the two clocks are in such good shape... oh well!

Get a new cable first and see if that's the problem. if not, it's time for a new speedo, and don't forget to check and lube the drive gearbox.

Uncle Mike always has some extra 350 parts lying around the garage. Haha

Mike would you happen to have some carbs you would be willing to sell? I got some cb350 carbs that were a total mess on the inside with punctured diaphragms.
