cb350 ticking sound out of the blue...?

Been Around the Block
so friday night i was going out to a buddies house and hopped on the highway. i was doing a solid 70 for maybe 20 minutes or so and felt the bike hic-up and lose a bit of power, so i pulled over to let it cool down, as i figured it was just getting hot. smoked a cig, got back on the bike and did about 55-60 smoothly for another 8-10 minutes or so till i got to my buddys house. went to leave a few hours later and started the bike to hear some weird ticking sound that ive never heard this bike make before. heres a video via my phone. not the best, but you can hear it best in the beginning of the video. could the valve have fallen out of adjustment from the constant higher speed cruising? need a valve adjustment now? cam chain need tightening? i need some help, it sure doesnt sound good...

Redjust everything to spec and go from there. The 350 can cruise at highway speeds for awhile, but it doesnt love it.

didnt get a chance to pop the tappet covers off today to take a look but i did take another video that makes the ticking sound more prominent. does this help anymore? the sound is def. coming from the upper most part of the motor.

Mine made the same sound right before I cooked the top end due to oil starvation...

Check the oil and the valve clearances. This should give you a good idea about what to expect.
