cb350g banjo bolt

Been Around the Block
I seem to have missplaced the banjo bolt for my cb350g and have not been able to find one localy. I can get one with the right thread just too long. Does any one know if I could just cut down a longer banjo bolt or is that not a good idea? If you don't recomend doing that does any one know of where I could get the right replacement one? I've checked every where localy and can't find anything that would work, everything is to long.

i'd be reluctant to cut a banjo bolt... and i'm a guy who will happily cut most things! you might get a bit of the cutting inside the hole which will play havok with your seals when it makes it's way down, plus i'd be worried about distorting/weakening it when cutting it, as it's hollow... are the ones you can source locally WAY too long? or just a bit... if it's just a bit then i'd be happier stacking on a few extra crush washers than cutting... all that said, i'm suprised you can't find one that fits... are you asking for 'the banjo bolt for my cb350g?' or are you bringing a too long one in and saying 'have you got this only shorter?'... whichever one's not working, try the other! ;D

I was kinda thinking the same thing on the shavings. The ones I've found localy are kinda to long. Probably about 3 extra crush washers to long. I've just gone to the auto part stores looking for the banjo bolt. I've tried to ask for stuff for a cb350 and no one has any parts. Tomorrow I'm going pick up my rear tire and order a front one so I'll see if they have anything that might work.
