Evening, managed to get all the bushings from my swingman. Couldn't press the suspension bushings out so cut them, and couldn't drive the pivot bushings out so also cut them.

Looking to get the bronze bushings for rebuild http://cbxperformance.com/oscommerce/product_info.php?products_id=284&osCsid=564

The bushings that came out were approx 50mm in length, there is a lip inside the swingarm tube approx 50mm in. The replacement bronze bushings are 1 1/4inch long, approx 31mm. Does it matter that the new bushings wont fit up against the inner lip, will this have any impact on the swingarm operation and assembly? Or should I go for the original replacement part http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb360g-1974-usa_model1008/bush-rrforkpivot_52108457300/#.VkjP54FFDqA

Thanks
Matt

As long as the flange on the bushings are against the swingarm, the bronze bushings are good. The bushing is captured between the swingarm and frame by the flange, so they don't need that inner lip. The plastic OEM could be driven too deep, bending the flange, so the lip was needed for them.

The OEM plastic bushings suck. The have a little give to them and wear quickly. Stick with the bronze ones.

Yup bronze everytime for me too no worries bout length that slides inside , theres enough in there to hold swingarm shaft ok like mydlyfkryzis says make sure shoulder fits well into swingarm then to frame ;)

I believe the originals are plastic and the bronze ones are an upgrade. There were some that did not have the lip on the outer edge and the lip inside may be there to prevent the lipless bushing from being pushed too far inward. If the bronze ones are shorter I wouldn't worry about it as long as the lip is seated against the tube.
