1974 CB360T, My clutch cable has seen better days and I ordered some new controls and cable. Seemed like an easy task but that left side engine cover that the clutch cable goes into was welded on by years of dirt and corrosion on the guide pegs. I really had to use force to get it off, and when I did a whole pile of dirt fell out including one steel ball. I cant tell specifically where this ball goes and in what order it would go in. I have found this diagram but dont see how its possible or what purpose the ball would serve where they have shown it.

The ball in question is part #21 and from the picture it looks like it sits between the clutch lever(#4) and the disk with three balls(#8), from looking at the bike I don't think thats the case and havent had any luck searching so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks
