Getting so close, question when installing the cam how
does one know, after lining up the markings, that the cam
is not 180 degrees off?
Thanks

I think if I remember right, when the marks on the cam chain sprocket in the rocker box are lined up horizontal like they should be the (I think) "T" mark on the flywheel should be lined up with the notch on the stator. I'd double check the manual but, I'm pretty sure thats how it's sposed to be, I hope it is, cuz thats the way mine went together.

LOOKS FREAKIN' GOOD DUDE!!
Like everyone else says, the neutral light is brilliant! I'm lookin' to come up with somethin' nifty for mine also. It's the first good shot of the paint you laid on the fork clamps and and master cylinder, I just can't say enough about this thing man. GREAT WORK!

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Update May 2/10)

Pete,

This is one fine looking machine. We might have to get our 360's together sometime.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Update May 2/10)

i saw a no no but maybe you just haven't gotten round to putting a cotter pin in the axle castle nut.
i wouldn't want your shakedown run to shake you down to the ground because your rear axle slid out.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Update May 2/10)

Pete, can I ask where you got the VHT satin black wheel paint in Ontario? Ive looked around & its nowhere!! NAPA said they cant even get it.

Thanks for the heads up. the pin was soaking at the time of photo, but thanks for the reminder.

I came across it when looking for spray max 2k clear, also could not find any in Ontario.
Really wanted the 2k clear and the shipping from the states was a little crazy( the only site that would ship paint to Canada) so I add a few can of the VHT epoxy.
Heres the site.

Hope this helps.

Thanks man!
Will see how the saftey goes, I guess it would be up to
the cop. I ran same size led signals on my R6 for 4-5 years
never had a problem.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! (2-1 exhaust May 4/10)

Don't know about Canada but here most of those mini lights will pass any local inspections needed to get it on the road. They just aren't approved by DOT for feceral highway use. How often you going to be cruising on the interstate on your 360 anyway, right? And Curb your's is a 175 right? Again, maybe Canada is stricter?

Good point diesel! I'll have to look
in to that.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! (2-1 exhaust May 4/10)

Let me know how that Cam chain thing works out so I know if I need to double check something.

Will do!
I believe when checking the tappets clearance, setting the left piston
to TDC the LT marking, the inlet and outlet valves should be closed.
If not the cam is off. That's what I understood from the
manual.
I'll let you know the outcome.

Welcome to the forum!

I removed the old tires and wire wheeled, sanded and cleaned the rim. then installed the new rubber, be sure to test fill the new tire before
painting, I punchered the tube first time around. remove all the air, tape off the tire and squish the tire as you paint the edge of the rim.
Hope this helps.
