CB360 smoking badly

that is great news !! a beautiful thing it is and a wonderful feeling firing up an old moter with fresh slugs and rings and she purrs...and dont smoke .i know it makes me shout ever time

very interesting that the piston cracked there .wonder what caused that ? were the original rings stuck in the bore ? can you see witness of the crack up inside the piston as well ?

Excess rpm for an extended period before it 'squeaked' the skirt when oil got low?
Looks like ring groove is pretty worn?
