Hi All,
I've been working on a new design for rearsets for the CB400F. I wanted something that would allow the buyer to pick and choose from a selection of parts to put together a set that meets their requirements, and budget. I've tried to keep the prices down to a reasonable level, (I guess you will decide if I was successful or not). Finished kit prices range from around $380 if you re-use some of your existing 400F linkage components, up to about $600 if you were to order all the optional parts. You can download a set of drawings that show all the components, and a couple of Excel price sheets at my website http://www.denoonsp.com/cb400f-rearsets.htm , along with more photos.
One of the Excel sheets lists the price for a group buy. If I can get 6-8 interested people, that's enough for me to order the mounting plates and stuff from a laser/water jet cutter, and it drops the price compared to having to cut and machine those parts myself. Delivery on a group buy would likely be 6-8 weeks, given time to organize, collect deposits, and order component parts from Italy.
The other Excel file is for pricing on an individual set, where I am building them one at a time.
If you have questions, you can post here or contact me direct at rdenoon@mts.net
Thanks
Rick Denoon
