CB400F wheel options

Been Around the Block
I need to do something about the rims and spokes on my CB400F. My options seem to be:

1. Buy from eBay out of Thailand. A set of stock sized rims plus stock zinc plated spokes would be about $250 shipped slow boat. I think it's about a 2 month ship time.

2. Buy from CMSNL. This is about $430. Also expensive shipping, and they might actually be the same rims that the Thai sellers have.

3. Buy from Buchannon. This would be around $500 probably. I don't have this kind of money...

They're all a lot of money, so I'm looking for other options. Stock rim sizes are 1.85x18 36 spoke, and 1.60x18 36 spoke. What are other sources for these rims? MikesXS for example has a 2.15 x 18" x 36 alloy rim for $90, but I don't know if that would be too wide for the rear. Probably is too wide for the front.

How about spokes? It's possible that I have a pair of rims that are good enough to paint and rebuild with nice stainless spokes.

They will be fine
I'm putting XS650 rims on my CB360.
You will have to re-angle holes in rim slightly for front disc hub(about 10mins with chainsaw file)

I got a set from Taiwan or somewhere (eBay)
There's pic of finished wheel with a 90/90 tyre about halfway down page.

I also have set with 'smooth' rims and AVON road race tyres posted up somewhere (will have to take a look at my photobucket pics)

I picked up a set of used DID 18" aluminum rims 1.85 front and 2.15 rear for my 400F and used the stock spokes. The rims came from a local wrecker that has a lot of dirt bikes. The rear rim was easy to find the front took a couple hours to find one that wast bent. Total cost was about a $100 and that included lacing :)
