CB450 Cafe in Vietnam- updated with video - test run

Re: CB450 Cafe in Vietnam

Man, that is a great bike. Love the headers. Have they discolored at all?

And on those pipes, any chance you could have that shop reproduce some and ship them over here? I know at least three people that would kill for some of those pipes. I've been looking for a 2-1 for quite a while now......

Re: CB450 Cafe in Vietnam

Hi all,

The 2 into 1 header pipe is hand made in HCMC, the muffler is imported from England, this is a NOS vintage MCM muffler for Triumph. The front head is fully upgraded with CB500T front. The brake caliper is from a VF750. Headlite is from a CB250, handle bar is a Triump one (I guess) and gauge is from a CB450 -K5.

The head pipe is not over 50 bucks but I am not sure on shipping cost from Vietnam to US. The seat is actually modified from K1 seat with some minor welding and foam cutting. The cover and foam cutting is not over 45 bucks.

When I bought this one, it is stinky and I got to replace rockers, camshafts, cam chain, shiftfork, clutch push rod, gear shift shaft, seals, clutch hub, drive gear, ignition point and shaft, rotor and alternator, rectifier and lot of other things has been done and tuning.

I am currently having a Boretech ignition (used just for 3 months) so if you want, I wish to have a swap for a new set of dyna 5 ohm signle fire.

Thanks and best wishes

Re: CB450 Cafe in Vietnam

Do you have any close up pics of the rearsets? I'm going to buy some of the same sets that have for my KZ400 thanks to your recommendation in another thread and would like to see how you went about mounting the brake side.

Thanks

So are you going to use the linkage on the brake side to move the stock brake lover or are you going to modify the rod going back to the rear drum to go to the new brake lever?
