Cb450 exhaust pressure uneven where to start looking?

Hi Guys,

Just did timing, tune up, cleaned carbs... 1st time running from a barn. The right exhaust is greater than the left? Any suggestions where to start first. Plug looks good.

Tried the idle drop no luck. Redo valve setting again?

There is an order of operations to properly tune an engine. Download the factory service manual for your bike (available free online), go through the full tune up procedure, then come back with any problems. Good luck!

Stubborn bikes will strip you of your pride, only to be regained once you are triumphant. Go through the procedure again and see if something was overlooked. Be sure to check back in with results. If there is still a notable difference in pressure I'll be interested to see what your compression numbers look like. It isn't smoking is it?

Hi Coyote13 no it isn't smoking. My guess is I have a valve too tight. Going through procedures tomorrow. I'll check in.
