Perhaps it's not the right section to post in, but it seems like this gets the best traffic. I'm trying to wrap up my bike shortly and i need to find a caliper piston and seal and bleeder valve for my cb450 K7. Is babbitts online the best source for this? The piston itself is $80 on there, which seem high to me. Maybe I'm just unaware of what they should cost, but if someone has a better source for direct ordering, please direct me to that site...not ebay though please :)

very cool, thank you. Any savings is better than no savings. It's only $3 cheaper there, but I guess I gotta work with it ;D

Do not cut corners on brake equipment or tires to save some money, What' s your life worth?

I'm looking for the best prince on some parts, and never mentioned cutting corners. I appreciate your link as I said before.

Ask over at SOHC 4 forum, I'm sure there ae a couple of people/places there doing them around $40.00. (not sure is thats stainless?)
There is nothing special about a piece of round bar machined to fit the bore of caliper.
As long as outside is smooth so it doesnt damage seal and can take heat , preferably without transfering it to brake fluid, your good to go.
Its a very basic hydrualic system.

thank you for the reply (sorry for my delayed response, just got out of the hospital from having my appendix removed...didn't have internet there ;D) I'll check over that site.

There is a fellow on there that mods Phenolic pistons. I put one in my CB500t and it works great, and will never rust or xfer heat to fluid. I only paid 40 bucks for it i think.
