CB450 Mkunis, start on choke but not without (Dies when i remove it)

pilot jet is clean
everything is clean.

Just ajusted the float level to stock 24mm whas a little high.

22.5 PJ

Im thinking that I need to close the air screw a little more.

Problem:
Dosn't wanna start without choke. Dies a few seconds later if I remove it and let it idle.

What do you guys think?

What is your air screw set at now? Mikuni has a nice document for going through the tuning procedure and lists the steps to dial in the air screw setting and determine what pilot jet to use. See section 5-3 in the following file: http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/vmmanual.pdf

I used this manual to setup the VM20 on my MB5, works really well.
