After lots and lots of research, I have found somewhat little useful information on trying to run Emgo 48mm pod filters on a 1980 CB650 Custom with pressed slow jets. I've been tuning my carbs and currently I have 125 mains and stock slows, I think, I don't know how to measure them to get an accurate size reading. I've found information on pod filter setups and form what I understand, it's definitely very possible with the stock carbs and not spending a metric ass ton for CRs.
The most useful information I found is here: http://www.chinonthetank.com/2010/08/cb650-pod-filters/, But I still don't know why my system si so boggy. I feel like I need to go WAY up in main jets and find another way of altering the slow jet sizes. I need recommendations.
I guess, as far as changing the slow jets, I can just yank out the olds, clean the hole and hand push in news with a vice grip? Will that be good enough?
Is anyone else having these issues with pod filters and just can't seem to get them to work?
