Hi guys. New to this forum after hearing about it on sites like pipeburn. Some very nice builds happening on here and thought I'd put mine on and join the fun and hopefully pick up some tips.

Got a few bikes in the garage and after fixing up my track bike after a stack got onto the project bikes sitting there. Picked two CD250s for cheap so made a start on the first one.

eBay pic of the two bikes

Dented tank, running condition. Overall good for the price

Welded new rear seat, lowered down to fit new shocks. Welded on a new battery tray, cut off the and rewelded the seat supports with inside sleeve for strength. Running out of gas so ended up tacking until after Xmas refill run

Got some time today and refitted the handles and welded together. Half way though and hopefully get some time tomorrow to weld on the bolt sleeves

Thanks. Didn't end up doing what I wanted today. Ended up bending the loop for the rear tail. Had a mate help with his oxy torch coupled with my cheap bending machine and patience

Tacked on rear loop. Need to decide on the blinker position and number plate before welding shut. Decide at a later date

Spent a lot of time today making the bracket right to hold he stumpy tail. Also fitted on the brake light as well as the bracket held the whole lot. Started on the seat hit a few problems so may have to start again

Finished foot pegs today. Had some fitment issues And spent time grinding bits to fit but a lot more comfortable

Looks like you are off to a great start. I am sure you know what you are doing, but those foot pegs look awefully low.

Yeah from the pics taken and the angle of the camera it does look low. Ive only moved them down 1 to 1.5 inches max. The exhaust on the original hangs directly below the old foot pegs so clearance should be ok
