Changing rear wheel bearings - 350f

Calm down and sail on
I'm trying to change my wheel bearings on my bike and I can't get the bearing keeper unscrewed. It was pinged 4 times from the factory to keep it from unscrewing. Well it worked. But now I'm using a spanner Wrench and it won't budge. I used heat and it didn't do much. Any tips or tricks?

You need to remove the metal that was "staked". Then the keeper/retainer assembly will unscrew. Looks like there is still some curled over base metal on top of the retainer.

You need to use a drill and drill out the stake marks. The bit should be just a little larger then the stake mark. You don't need to go deep, just remove all the deformed metal. When you are done, re-stake the retainer. One stake will be enough, 2 if you need reassurance. 4 is overkill...

Thanks I'll give that a go tonight.. Yes my pop said they usually did 2 and wondered why they did 4. Thanks a bunch again.
