cheap Chinese gas tanks

Anyone have experience with these Max-inc tanks? It looks like they are a Chinese manufactured tank at a reasonable price. I see them on ebay for around $100, just wondering if they are worth it because even rough vintage tanks are getting to be a bit pricy. http://www.max-inc.cn/fuel-air/

I have no experience but I like the looks of them. If the CB125 I am grabbing has a tank issue I can't fix I'd try one for sure.

One of the VJMC members bought a couple of those tanks. He was pretty happy with them, but said they were really thin metal and you could dent them easily. I didn't see them so I can't confirm it. However, tanks that appear to be the same are around $50 on Amazon.

Where are they available for sale? I went to the max-inc website but didn't see any tanks for sale there.

Side note - I have bought Max-Inc parts before (headlight brackets) and they were top shelf. Billet aluminium and really well made. I'd be interested to hear what their tanks are like.

I found them on Ebay.ca and they would be about 200 CAD landed here from Asia, at least the 2-3 I looked closely at.

Same tanks

4into1 offers this one for $84 on Amazon. I like the shape. https://www.amazon.com/Skyline-Cafe...ds=motorcycle+gas+tank&qid=1606851168&sr=8-10

Also the old Wards/Benelli Mojave style https://www.amazon.com/TBVECHI-Moto...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

the one you posted from 4inot1 I like as one for the CB should the tank be unsalvagable.

It looks like speedmotoco.com is a reseller of those tanks too. But the cheaper option is on ebay & they are basically the same thing. It sounds like they are fine, but they don't have any way for gas to move from one side to the other, so that may be an issue. And the petcocks supplied are reported as not the best quality

I got one off ebay and sent it back.......edges were sharp as hell and the shape was off from one side to the other. Mine came from 4 into 1 was the manta or something....

I bought one for a CB160 project. Of course it needed some modification to work but it's OK and great value for the few dollars they cost. If you need to weld something , say to move the front or rear mounts, be careful. The metal is quite thin.

I bought one of these from 4into1 for my CB125, had to mod the rear mount to work with my rubber tank mount. The rubber pucks for the front mount on my factory tank are too big for this tank, what did you guys use? Looks like I need ~7/8" OD to fit the tank, then I'll make a couple tabs that bolt to the old front mounts. Unfortunately I don't have access to my welder while back home so can't cut/swap the mounts off the old tank.
