Chicago work space?

Okay, does anybody out there know of a small, cheap work space for rent in Chicago? I'm coming up empty so far on places that will let me work on bikes. So many old factory buildings, and all I really want is concrete floors and electrical outlets. Surely there's something out there.

If you come up with something, shoot me a message. I have a car and bike I am looking to do some work on. I had a lead on a space here in the north burbs, extra garage on a home owner's property, but haven't heard back in about a week after I went to go see it, so who knows if it's going to happen. If it materializes, we may be able to work something out as I will have a fair amount of extra space.

But like you said, soooo many empty places, some I've seen vacant for close to 10 years, management companies/owners STILL want top dollar.

I live in the Humboldt Park area and work up in Northbrook, I was hoping for a space somewhere in between. (Which covers A LOT of territory.)
