CL compatible with CB?

Hey dudes,

I have a quick question. I've got a CL engine and like the side exhaust look. I have 2 CB350 frames with motors but would the CL motor be a direct swap?

One CB is a G model so I think I'm going to rebuild that somewhat stock even though it's a complete basket case.

Thanks.

Sweet thanks. Actually I was thinking "Why don't I just get CL pipes and put them on a 350?". I don't need to use the CL motor for it.

Yep, I am running CL pipes on my CB, using CB flanges/collars/etc. Its all the same.

If you're using the stock sidecovers, keep in mind that the left CL cover is clearanced for the high pipes.

Sweet. Thanks guys. I think I saw a couple places that actually make new aftermarket CL pipes. I thought they were going to be a PITA to find. Good stuff!

My 1963 CL72 runs CB77 pipes... interchanges on baby Hondas is spooky, something that shouldn't fit is a direct swap. Even front wheel interchange is amazing, my 71 CL100 went from micro drum to fullsized drum, the CL72 has a Titan front wheel...

Cool. I actually turned down a few builds cause I figured it would be way over my head and hard to find parts. One guy offered me a
1967 Yamaha twin jet 100. "Complete" but no old rusted basket case ever is really. lol. Always needs something. You guys think it would have been worth 500 bucks? It didn't have stock pipes. They looked more like old drag pipes.
